The date quickset should be operated between 3:45 AM and 9:00 PM.
The day quickset should be operated between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM.
The date quickset also winds the mainspring mechanically.
If the mainspring is almost fully wound, the date quickset may feel stiff.
