1971 56GS Grand Seiko Hi-Beat CAP GOLD Ref. 5645-7010
What is CAP GOLD?
Cap gold is a technique of covering or bonding a base metal with a very thick gold plate (approx. 80-260 microns), which is much thicker than gold plating or common gold-filled (gold-plated) processes.
【Product Features】
This is a "56GS (56 Grand Seiko)" from 1971.
It is known as the last automatic winding series in the history of vintage Grand Seiko, which dates back to the 1960s.
It features a sharp case design that inherits the "Seiko Style" and a high-precision hi-beat movement (28,800 vibrations). The beautiful patina that has appeared on the dial after 50 years tells a unique history that only this individual piece possesses.
【Operation Confirmed & Cleaned】
This watch had no operational problems from the moment it was acquired.
The gaskets have been replaced, the crystal has been replaced with an aftermarket compatible part, and the crown has been replaced with a genuine part (genuine crowns are hard to find).
To ensure our customers can use it with peace of mind, we conducted a 48-hour operation check and cleaned it before listing.
Timegrapher measurements show a daily rate of 1 to -0 seconds and an amplitude of 290 degrees, maintaining extremely stable accuracy for an individual piece that is half a century old.
It comes with a 1-year warranty from the date of arrival (domestic Japan warranty).

【Notes】
Characteristics of vintage items: This is a mechanical watch from the 1970s. Although it is currently running very accurately, please understand that it is a vintage item based on our display standards (within 1-2 minutes daily rate).
For practical use, we recommend regular maintenance.
Water resistance: Please treat it as non-water resistant. Assume that the original water resistance (Water Resistant) is no longer maintained and be very careful about water exposure and humidity.
Calendar operation: Due to the characteristics of the 56 series movement, absolutely avoid quick-setting the calendar between 8 PM and 4 AM (this can cause malfunctions).
